ALPHA LABS LLC · UPDATED SEPTEMBER 15, 2026

Privacy policy

Self-Reliance Plan is operated by Alpha Labs LLC, an independent service not affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This notice explains how this website handles your information.

Information you provide

Your plan can include your name, email address, household income and expenses, needs, goals, resources, assistance status, typed signatures, dates, and progress notes. What you write may reveal sensitive information, including religious beliefs or health conditions. Include only information needed for your plan, and avoid account numbers, Social Security numbers, medical records, or private details about other people.

How the service uses information

We use your information to save your draft in your browser, verify your email address, create and privately store your submitted plan, generate a PDF, and send copies to you and the Bishop associated with your plan link. We also use verification and delivery records to prevent abuse, troubleshoot delivery, and avoid duplicate submissions. The service does not make automated decisions about eligibility for assistance.

Who receives it

Your submitted plan is shared with you and your designated Bishop as a PDF; the Bishop also receives a structured JSON copy of your questions and answers. Cloudflare provides hosting, database storage, security, and email delivery; recipients’ email providers also process the emailed copies. Authorized administrators may access records to operate the service and respond to requests. We may disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect the service and its users.

We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

Cookies and browser storage

The app uses local storage, rather than a login cookie, to remember your draft and current step in this browser. Anyone with access to the same browser profile may be able to see it. Clear this website’s site data in your browser settings to remove the local draft; this does not delete a submitted plan or email copies.

The app does not set advertising or analytics cookies. Our hosting provider may process network information, such as your IP address and request details, and use security technologies to protect the site. For verification rate limits, the app stores a keyed hash of your IP address and email address. External websites, including the linked community resource directory, have their own privacy practices.

Retention and security

Local drafts remain until you clear them or your browser removes them. Submitted plans and delivery records currently have no automatic deletion schedule; they remain stored until an administrator deletes them. Verification codes expire after 10 minutes, and verification records older than 24 hours are removed by a scheduled cleanup. Provider logs and backups may follow separate retention periods.

We use HTTPS, email verification, and restricted database access. No storage or email system can be guaranteed completely secure. Deleting a stored submission cannot recall copies already delivered to recipients’ mailboxes.

Your choices and privacy requests

You may request access to, a copy of, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. You may also ask to withdraw consent to future processing. Contact agateyte@gmail.com with “Privacy request” in the subject, your plan email address, and the request type; do not attach your full plan. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity. Your Bishop can help identify a submitted plan, but requests about Alpha Labs LLC’s records should go to this contact.

Where Texas privacy rights apply, we respond within 45 days; if a permitted extension is necessary, we explain it within that period. To appeal a denial, email the same address with “Privacy appeal” and the original request reference. We respond to appeals within 60 days. You may also file a complaint with the Texas Attorney General. We do not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

Children

This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. Please contact us if you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information so we can address it.

Changes

We update this page when our practices change and show the revision date above. If a change requires notice or consent under applicable law, we will provide it before using information for that new purpose.
